Listen, create, or license music for a production. Each option grants different permissions. Copyright remains with Opus Elixir.
A purchased download is for private listening. It does not include permission to use the music in videos, podcasts, advertising or other productions.
Designated Creator Collection tracks have their own credit-based permissions. Paid licences for other tracks are available by request, with scope and fee agreed before use.
For films, documentaries, television, client projects, games and advertising. Tell us the track, project, media, territory and duration for a tailored quote.
A credit is required for Creator Collection use, but credit alone never grants permission to use other music.
Opus Elixir retains its copyright and other intellectual property rights in its lyrics, compositions, sound recordings and accompanying audio. Buying, downloading or licensing a track does not transfer copyright or ownership. You receive only the permissions expressly stated in the applicable licence. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
Only tracks expressly labelled as part of the Creator Collection qualify. Check the specific track’s licence notice for eligible platforms, projects and any limits before use. Where a track expressly offers credit-based creator permission, it may be used as background music in your own creator videos, including monetised videos, subject to that notice. These permissions do not extend to the rest of our catalogue.
Include “Music: [Track title] — Opus Elixir” and a link to https://www.opuselixir.com in the video description or accompanying credits. Where descriptions are unavailable, use visible credits. Paid advertising, brand campaigns, client work, films, television, games, standalone music uploads, covers and remixes require separate written permission unless the track’s licence expressly includes them.
For tracks outside the Creator Collection, contact us and obtain an approved licence before publishing. Our standard project licence is for one named track in one finished video or project, shared across your own agreed channels and platforms. A new video or project requires a new licence unless an extended licence expressly covers it. Monetisation and credit requirements are stated in the licence; paying for a listening download is not a project licence.
A properly licensed finished project may remain published for the licence’s agreed duration. Fees and any extended project limits are confirmed before purchase. No subscription or unlimited-use permission is implied.
Professional production permissions are agreed in writing for the specified track and project, including the uses, media, territory, duration, fee and any exclusivity. Where Opus Elixir controls both the composition and recording rights, the agreement identifies the permissions granted for both. Public-performance or other rights administered separately are included only if expressly stated.
Exclusivity, where agreed, concerns the specified use; it does not transfer ownership. A music supervisor or production company obtains project permissions, not copyright.
You must not claim authorship or ownership of our music, register it with Content ID or another rights-management service, sell or distribute it as a standalone audio file, sample pack or music library, or sublicense it to others. Permission to trim, fade or adjust volume for an authorised project does not permit remixes, sampling or derivative music releases. Any additional rights require separate written permission.
You retain rights in your own original project material. Opus Elixir retains its rights in the music used within that project.
A valid licence does not guarantee that automated platforms will never issue a claim. If a claim occurs, contact us with the track title, project URL, licence or order reference and claim details. We will review the authorised use and assist with claims relating to rights we control. Do not register the licensed track as your own or assume a purchase automatically clears a claim.
The written licence supplied for your track and project governs its permitted use and takes precedence over this general summary where they differ. Permissions for one track do not apply to another. Contact us before publishing if your intended use is not expressly covered. Changes to this page do not retrospectively expand or reduce an existing agreed licence.
Licensing enquiries are handled through our contact page. Please include the track title and intended use so we can confirm the appropriate permissions and fee.

The site has no accounts, no sign-up and no advertising trackers. Cloudflare hosts and delivers it and processes technical information, such as your IP address, to do so securely. Your choices on the site, such as the last world you listened to and your volume, are kept only in your own browser and never sent to us.
Music plays through YouTube's embedded player. When you press play, YouTube receives technical information under its own privacy notice. Links to Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and Patreon take you to those services, which handle information under their own notices.
